This is a very scarce helmet and if you need further photos, we will provide them. The snaps unmarked and have dark rust on them, The buckle is also has dark rust. It can be manipulated into proper position and is not weak or dried out. The dark grey/blue chinstrap is rather hard and shaped over time to rest in the recess of the liner. The foam padding is still very very soft and flexible. The interior shell still has the original paint and is marked ET68 on left side and 3021 to the back The liner leather in well marked and has 2 breaks to the rear. The paint has some dings and so rust is coming thru in those places. The tan camo paint covers most of the helmet with a nice triangle saved to show a a near 100% Luftwaffe decal. This helmet is a DAK or Mediterranean theater helmet. The liner leather shows hard use but all fingers are intact with drawstring. It has one proper Army decal on correct side and another decal on the other side which is very off center. This M-42 helmet has a broken chinstrap that has a hard to read Rbn number that is very hard to read. The chinstrap is unmarked and is all there but is cracked and rather weak. The it appears to be a two color camo of green and tan. This helmet is marked "889" "S64" to rear of inside.
